About PDO Thread Lifts

What is a PDO thread lift?
A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses dissolvable PDO threads (Polydioxanone), a material used in medicine for many years. A PDO Thread Lift tightens and lifts the skin.

How does it work?
PDO threads relax muscles and tendons while stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin. PDO also stimulate the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin, vital for maintaining youthful looking skin.

How long do the results last?
There should be minimum interruption in daily life, and no concerns about removal as the treads will be fully dissolved in the body after 2 to 6 months. The product is biodegradable and biocompatible, and the effects of treatment should last approximately 12 to 24 months depending on treatment.

Who can perform PDO thread lifts?
It is very important that you see a trained professional to ensure your procedure is done safely and effectively. Here at Cosmeticine, Dr Rashidy is a GP and is qualified in cosmetic facial procedures so you can be reassured you are getting a high level of service.
